Why I Chose This Company
Having been positioned perfectly from a timing perspective a couple of times in business, I know what it means to be at the right place at the right time.  Timing is to business opportunity what location is to real estate.

As an entrepreneur my entire adult life, I evaluated this company from an entrepreneurial perspective.    I learned that the travel industry was the largest industry in the world.  It is a 7 trillion dollar industry projected to double over the next 8 – 10 years…primarily due to the aging Baby Boomers. 

As I look at the aging baby boomers, a few facts that stand out are:

  • They control two out of every three dollars in this country
  • They are the wealthiest generation to ever be on the planet
  • Historically, they have dramatically impacted every industry they ever met as a demographic
  • They are now beginning to retire
  • 10,000 boomers a day turn 60…that is one every 8 seconds…for the next 20 years!
  • They have more time and money than any generation has ever had

When both time and money are available, most people like to travel.  The travel industry is going to do nothing but continue to explode.

I saw a poll taken by USA Today just a few years ago.  The poll asked a segment of the American people what they would do if they won the lottery.  I thought the number one answer would be, “Quit my job.”  Actually, that was the #2 answer.  The #1 answer?  Travel.

The number one thing Americans said they would do if they won the lottery was travel.  That spoke volumes to me from a perspective of marketing something that people want.

With an industry that is $7 trillion a year and growing, I knew that you only have to capture a fraction of a percentage of market share to provide the opportunity for many to become wealthy.  The company I am presently with has two very powerful and profitable niches within the travel industry.  The first is the "exclusive vacations" membership.  It is very similar to a Costco (or Sam’s Club) membership, but exclusively for travel.  A major difference is that at Costco, you have to assume that they make a profit on most of the products they sell you once you are inside.  With our company, the business plan calls for the company to make all of its profits on the membership and nothing off of the "exclusive vacations" which they provide for the membership base.  Therefore, the company can almost always get the trips to the membership base cheaper than the member can find the same trip anywhere else.  The company’s goal in this arena is that if you take one of these "exclusive vacations" a year, your savings on that one trip will offset your membership fees for the year.

It sounded like a great concept to me.  It works like this:

  • Our company books at least 70 awesome trips per year.  
  • As an "exclusive vacations" member, you have access to any and all of the trips you want to take.
  • A membership includes you, your spouse, significant other or friend, and your children who are living at home. 
  • The company handles all of the reservations and planning.
  • Pricing is wholesale or better.
  • Rolling calendar…there are always at least 20-30 trips posted on the website so you can plan well ahead.  (These are not last minute left over deals.)
  • These are not cheap trips at cheap prices, they are dream trips at dream prices!

The second major niche that our company has going is the ability to let you become a travel industry insider as a travel consultant.  This also gives you access to some very powerful technology such as the meta-search, best described as the “Google of travel.”  On your very own travel website, you (or your customers) can search dozens of travel sites simultaneously with a single click which saves both time and money.  If commissionable travel is booked from your website (even if it is your own travel), you make a large percentage of the commissions generated.  I realized this is something a lot of people would want to take advantage of and that I can build a network of Reps around the country with the opportunity to override thousands of these travel sites.

I realized also that technology has wiped out many traditional travel agencies; and that this company has positioned itself to leverage technological advances.  It is kind of like being on the front end of marketing the CD when everyone was still using audio cassettes.

I know the Founders, and I knew that this was not about making a quick buck for them.  They truly desire to build a long term industry giant.  In fact, the company’s stated goal is to become the first billion dollar network marketing company in the travel industry.  It has been done in many different industries…financial services, cosmetics, telecommunications, herbal supplements, and skin care.  But no network marketing company has ever done a billion in the travel industry.  We believe we can be the first.

The Founders shared with me the vision of creating a lifestyle company.

With that in mind, we created a car bonus where the company picks up the tab for qualified leader’s cars.  Our leaders pick out their own car, and the company pays the payment up to $1,500 per month.  Some of the cars being driven by our leaders right now are BMW’s, Porsche’s, Lexus’, Mercedes’, Hummers, Cadillacs, Corvettes and others.  

In addition to the car bonus, we also created the house bonus where leaders can receive up to $3,000 per month for their house payment in addition to all other earnings. Many of our leaders are presently receiving this bonus as well.

Our travel reimbursement program is a concept that works very much like frequent flyer miles, but on quadruple steroids!  Reps in our company earn reimbursements every time they generate income from the front end of our compensation plan.  They are cashed in as reimbursement for travel expenses. Each reimbursement is equivalent to one dollar of travel expense.  We have many leaders whose travel is completely paid for with this reimbursement program.  It is an awesome concept.

The compensation plan is a critical piece of the puzzle that makes this company really rock.  It works very well for the personal producer type.  It is also very effective for the part timer who wants or needs a part-time income.  It can deliver a full time potential income for the person who wants to get out of corporate America.   And the comp plan has the capacity to deliver in a massive way for those entrepreneurial dreamers who have a big vision and want to change their destiny.

Our compensation plan has all of the above, but in addition, we have the greatest residual compensation plan on the planet.  Unless you have a voice like a Whitney Houston or acting skills like Tom Cruise, I believe there is not a better residual income opportunity for you anywhere other than with our company.   Residual income…this is what drove me to work at a relentless pace for a period of time.

So I saw that a person could make tremendous front end money, have an awesome residual income plan, but also have the company pay for their car, their home and all of their travel.  Works for me!
